ABOUT ABIGAIL
Abigail FitzGerald is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 15 years of clinical and leadership experience in outpatient orthopedics. She enjoys treating active patients of all ages with a strong emphasis on restoring healthy movement. Abigail is a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and holds additional certifications in dry needling, IASTM, and blood flow restriction.
A dedicated clinician and mentor, Abigail is actively involved in clinical instruction, mentorship, study groups, as well as professional development. She has worked with over 20 students and been involved in onboarding and training new staff. Her treatment approach is grounded in evidence-based manual therapy and functional movement, supported by advanced continuing education in neurodynamics, pain science, and mobilization with movement.
In addition to her work in the clinic, Abigail provided ongoing treatment to the Kansas City Ballet from 2008 to 2017, attending rehearsals and live performances. She also maintains strong professional ties through regular physician collaboration, journal club participation, and national conference attendance.
Abigail is passionate about delivering personalized care and helping patients return to optimal function, whether they are recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or pursuing peak performance. She also feels strongly about being proactive with caring for athletes of all levels and the active aging population.
