At Full Range Mobile, we’re excited to be offering this unique and highly-focused model of delivering specialized care to the Kansas City area. However, we know you may still have some questions, so you can find answers to some of the most common ones below.
What areas do you serve?
Full Range Mobile Physical Therapy is currently providing mobile, in-person sessions in the greater Kansas City area. We serve most areas of the metro, and we are continually expanding our coverage area.
If you prefer to meet virtually we also offer telehealth visits.
What is dry needling?
Dry Needling is a therapeutic treatment procedure that addresses pain and dysfunction within muscle tissue. It involves the use of a very thin needle, which penetrates the muscle at the source of the pain and/or tightness. This area often contains a “trigger point”, and dry needling can eliminate tightness and trigger points by eliciting a “twitch response” in the muscle tissue. This improves muscle length and pliability and can be very beneficial in relieving muscle pain and chronic tightness.
Is dry needling similar to acupuncture?
No, the two treatments don’t have much in common, except that they both use a very thin needle to penetrate the skin. Dry needling focuses on releasing tight muscle tissue, and is most effective when performed on “trigger points.” The needle treatment aims to facilitate a “twitch response” from the muscle, whereby the muscle twitches in response to the needle.
Do you see Medicare patients?
Yes! We are enrolled with Medicare Part B and are proud to serve Medicare beneficiaries in the comfort of their home.
Do you take my insurance?
We’re out-of-network by design. That means we work for you, not your insurance company. You can still submit for potential reimbursement, and we’ll provide all the paperwork you need. Reimbursements vary between insurance companies and cannot be guaranteed by Full Range Mobile Physical Therapy.
What are the benefits of seeing an out-of-network provider?
Seeing a provider that is out-of-network can have massive benefits to your care, your experience and your outcome. Because we don’t have to pick your treatments and organize your sessions based on what your insurance coverage dictates, our providers are better able to tailor an individualized care plan for you.
Additionally, our providers are able to be 100% focused on you in a one-on-one setting. Your treatment sessions will never be double-booked or overlap with other patients. This means patients get the most personalized and high-quality care, which can ultimately lead to less visits and a more rapid recovery.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral from your doctor to get started with us. We will communicate with your physician on an as-needed basis but an initial referral is not necessary.
Have a question you don’t see here? Get in touch, and we’d be happy to chat with you.
